Educational projects funded by the ASMBS Foundation:

  • Co-Sponsor of the 2004 ASBS Consensus Conference on Bariatric Surgery – Washington, D.C.
  • Partially funded the development and implementation of the Bariatric Nurse Credentialing Program  
  • Supported the educational and advocacy initiatives of the OAC
  • Partially underwritten a professorship honoring Edward Mason, MD
  • Begun developing a “Hot Topics” educational program updating ASBS Members on obesity-related research and news
  • Support the Florida Obesity Summit
  • Supported the ASMBS CME Compendium Project
  • Funded two community grants (through the Bryan Woodward Grant Program) supporting childhood obesity initiatives
